Visit to Jordan February 2018
The TAMAM Project Steering Team [PST] organized its third visit to Jordan this academic year. The visit took place from the 9th till the 12th of February 2018. During the visit, various rich and fruitful events and meetings occurred.
On February 9th, the Project Steering Team met visitors from four new Palestinian schools to introduce TAMAM and its school improvement journey. Following this, the PST met with Al Hasad TAMAM lead team members from Palestine to discuss their progress on the TAMAM journey, give them feedback and to answer their questions.
On February 10th and 11th, the sixth gathering for TAMAM Jordan Hub Schools titled “Sustaining Transformational Change: Commitment, monitoring, and reflection” was held at the Landmark Hotel. The gathering comprised of three main themes. The first theme was “Discussing Schools’ progress on TAMAM journey”, the second theme aimed to introduce the “De-privatization of practice competency in TAMAM”, while the third one revolved around “Establishing the basis and principles of the TAMAM Jordan Hub”. During the gathering, various sessions were held and comprised discussion groups to brainstorm and identify the challenges facing the Jordan Hub formation and sustainability. The gathering was concluded by a working session to set future prospects and identify the strategies for TAMAM sustainability in Jordan.
During the last day of the visit, Monday, February 12th, the PST met Al Bayan School lead team members in the purpose of obtaining updates on their progress of work and for presenting the evaluation station on TAMAM journey. Al Bayan School team is currently preparing for evaluating the improvement project they have been implementing for the past two years. The visit was concluded with a meeting held with representatives from the Arab Open University (AOU) to discuss the terms of collaboration between TAMAM in the American University of Beirut and AOU.
