Ms. Nidal Jouni

Nidal Jouni holds a BA in Biology, a Diploma in Special Education, and a Master’s in Education from the American University of Beirut. She co-founded Al Rahma High School, one of Al Mabarrat schools, in 2001 and remained the school’s principal until September 2017, where she succeeded in transforming the school into an inclusive institution for different categories of students with special educational needs. Nidal worked with the Tamam Start project in Lebanese public schools within renewal initiatives related to instructional supervision and inclusion. She currently works with Tamam as a coach for Al Maymouna Schools  to build their capacities instructional supervision as an educational approach to empower teachers and enable them to lead the teaching/learning process, in addition to her work with the Lebanese International School as an expert to build institutional capacity for self-evaluation. Nidal is also an instructor and researcher at the Department of Education at the American University of Beirut. She recently published a book in English on Inclusive Education in Lebanon.
