Interns
They are individuals (mostly university students) who commit to an internship program in the TAMAM project that extends for a certain period of time during which they fulfill tasks that meet the needs of the project, such as translating, reviewing, and modifying documents, in addition to transcribing research data, assisting in writing research papers, and assisting in exposure of TAMAM on social media…
This internship program may be part of the university requirements as graduate assistant (GA) students or as volunteers. The interns then receive a certificate of participation from the TAMAM steering team specifying the number of hours they completed in the project and the type of tasks they performed.
TAMAM also collaborates with AUB parties for the purpose of soliciting interns.
The Project Steering Team collaborated in the academic year 2021-2022 with the Undergraduate Research Volunteer Program (URVP) which is in its third year at AUB as an initiative for undergraduate students who are interested in research experience early in their academic journey. Together, TAMAM and URVP provide undergraduate students with opportunities to advance their knowledge in school based improvement and action research, deepen their understanding of research in general beyond what is normally offered in the curriculum as well as enhance their critical thinking and teamwork skills . In addition, the Graduate Fellowship and Assistantship Program (GFAP) also feeds TAMAM with interns. The GFAP includes fellowship support composed of partial or full tuition coverage for students at the master’s level towards the fulfillment of their degree requirements. Together, TAMAM and GFAP aim at enriching the students’ educational and professional experience by enhancing their skills and competencies through involvement in research activities needed by TAMAM. .
